Description; The 2014 Blanc de Blanc is Nicolas Bauget 8th vintage and this really is stunning. 100% Chardonnay, this is generous with citrus, apple and pear fruits. A touch of toasty character and as Nicolas says to drinks this is a privilege. Only 6884 bottles produced, which when you compare this to five million bottles of Dom Perignon produced each year, I know which I would opt for and I could buy almost four for one bottle of DP.
Producer Profile;
Since 1822 and over five generations later Niicolas Bauget is now at the helm. The family now have 13 hectares of vineyards spread over the best terroirs of Chanpagne, including 9 classified villages. Located near the epicentre of champagne, Epernay, with cellars carved into the chalk since the 18th century, This Champagne house uses grapes from 31 vineyard plots to create a range of wonderful sparkling wines. Today’s team retains the passion held by Mme Bauget, and consider their vines to be living heritage of the Bauget family and the land they grow upon.
