Producer Profile: Suzanne Bauget, born in Jouette in 1911 worked tirelessly at the helm of this champagne house for over 60 years, stopping only at 86 years of age. Her commitment and that of the 5 generations that have followed in her footsteps are testament to the quality of Bauget-Jouette champagnes. Located near the epicentre of champagne, Epernay, with cellars carved into the chalk since the 18th century, This Champagne house uses grapes from 31 vineyard plots to create a range of wonderful sparkling wines. Today’s team retains the passion held by Mme Bauget, and consider their vines to be living heritage of the Bauget family and the land they grow upon.
